NIKOLAIKENNETHPEMBERTON nikolai wearing preppy clothes and acting preppy with some friends. =D
gender; male age; 17 student/teacher; student year of high school; junior sexual preference; heterosexual; although he's not into guys, he does have to admit that he has gotten a man crush a couple of times before. place of birth; maine, usa nickname(s); niknik, nik (basically nick, though spell it with a "c" and you'll make him angry. ;P), and then anything else that other people like to call him; he's pretty easy going when it comes to his name, as long as it's not derogatory.
appearance; For as long as he can remember, Nikolai has been obsessed with his appearance; from "manscaping" his facial details to perfection and taking extra time to flawlessly sculpt his bronze colored hair, Nikolai has been referred to as "gay" before in the past, with which he replies to, "You're just jealous of my excellent bone structure and gorgeous face! Truthfully, I could wake up in the morning and still look good. You, on the other hand, would take a bit more than a morning to seem decent enough to look at. So, what's so wrong with just wanting to look the best that I possibly can?" One could easily call him conceited, but he clearly doesn't seem to care much at all.
As mentioned above, his hair is a dark bronze color and is usually either kept in a neat, orderly style or one that's purposely messy. (though not to the point where it looks untouched; you can quite easily tell that he's done something to achieve his hair) His body isn't too terribly muscular; it's better described as being lean and toned, just to where his high expectations are met. One thing that he's incredibly proud of, though, is his bone structure; with a defined jaw line and high cheekbones, you'll often times find him staring in a mirror and creating various faces to express his features more clearly, also being utterly captivated by the blue color and general appearance of his eyes. They're not too wide set, and he finds their placement to be just perfect. However, he does have a conflicting opinion on his nose, being annoyed at the bump placed in the center and its overall length. Truthfully, that's really the only thing on his face that he carps about, but other than that, he's flawless in his mind. His mouth is a rather average size, with lips fixed in a natural pout position. Height wise, he stands at about 5'11'', a decently average size for someone his age.
When it comes to clothes, Nikolai is simply overjoyed to be able to wear argyle instead of Pavotworth's traditional, uninteresting school uniforms. Since he doesn't dare break the dress code (and he doesn't really want to, anyway. he's happy with the uniform.) the only time for him to wear normal clothes is when leaving the school; if he doesn't change his clothes, he's normally seen wearing more preppy styled clothing, such as larger amounts of argyle, light colors, sweaters, and the sort. That style of clothing truly is his absolute favorite, and one can easily tell from the mass amounts of it that he wears on a daily basis.
personality; Nikolai, with being brought up in a wealthy home where he was sheltered from all of the horrible aspects of life, it’s only expected that he acts strangely towards those who had the exact opposite life, one filled with pain and hardships. Unfortunately, he has an arrogant tendency to brag about his large inheritance and fortune, often times looking down upon those with less money and pestering them about it. It may not always happen, but he generally doesn’t even give those of “lesser importance” even a chance to prove to him that they’re not what he automatically expects them to be-people who constantly complain about their misfortunes in life. (which is quite ironic considering that he himself brags about his good fortunes.) However, he does have this mindset for another reason as well; it’s what the crowd he hangs out with believes in, so obviously he must believe in the same to stay in the group.
With a head full of air comes a tendency to once again, insult and make fun of others. It’s obvious that Nikolai is quick to judge, and he’ll base his judgments on anything that he sees or hears. He doesn’t really care what others think about him, since he has an over abundance of confidence and believes that everyone else loves him the same way that he does, so he won’t even think twice about sputtering out his true thoughts and feelings, which may include harsh insults and remarks that show his utter disgust for a person or thing. Fortunately, if you make a good first impression, you may get the opportunity to see the good side of Nikolai, despite the fact that it’s still full of countless flaws and annoyances enough to drive anyone up a wall.
Ever since he was a child, the way he would get something that he wanted was in fact very simple; all that he had to do was to whine and complain. Thankfully, Nikolai has grown past this stage of immature behavior, but he hasn’t quite moved on from the strong determination that he acquires whenever he wants something. Whatever it may be, his new found form of receiving his desires is conspiring and using his mind. No matter how mischievous or wrong it may be, he’ll fulfill practically any action that comes to mind as long as he obtains his demand in the end. For example, there have been instances where he was “low on time” and couldn’t quite study for a test or complete a homework assignment; as a result, he pulled a few strings with a teacher, more commonly known as bribery in the form of money, to get the answers to the test or the assignment itself.
If you happen to be ok on his list, you’ll have a chance to see that Nikolai isn’t always his conniving, mean self and that he can actually be somewhat nice and humorous. He’ll manage to click with certain people, and either he’ll secretly meet with the person at first to avoid being seen with them (since he’s really that low at some points) or he just won’t mind what his group will say. Once you’ve gotten to know him, he’ll show his kinder, more protective self where his high level of determination will show through once more. Anyone who messes with his friends, messes with him. Sure, he can’t exactly exert much physical harm on somebody, but he can just as easily come up with a plan to ruin their social life. (which he considers to be a greater downfall than getting a couple of bruises and a black eye.) To him, public embarrassment that ruins his ego and lowers his confidence would be the absolutely worst possible thing to occur to him, and he’d prefer to secretly get tortured than to endure the whole school seeing him get embarrassed, for whatever reason it may be.
atleast 5 positive traits;
- very protective over those he trusts and likes
- has a good sense of humor
- is a quick thinker, and is pretty intelligent when it comes to common sense and logical thinking.
- speaks his mind and stands up for himself and others (unfortunately, it’s not always good in his case, though most of the time it benefits him)
- has a strong sense of determination and perseverance
- good at resisting temptations; feminine seduction /usually/ has no effect on him, and money and other objects have no meaning or use for him.
- very outgoing
atleast 5 negative traits;
- is over confident
- somewhat shallow
- conceited, up to the point where he finds himself to be perfect in every form and fashion
- physically weak; he’s not out of shape, but he has no experience in defending himself through physical means. he’s obviously not too skilled when it comes to fighting.
- judgmental
- considered to be a “verbal bully” at times; also, his tendency to connive and deceive people is an extremely bad characteristic of his personality.
- regularly rides the bandwagon
atleast 5 likes;
- attention, and he’ll do a lot of things to get it.
- doing well in school.
- shy people; although he sometimes makes fun of them, he secretly finds those who are shy to be extremely adorable. he’ll generally try to talk to them, and he finds a strange pleasure if they feel embarrassed or even more shy from it.
- vandalizing the school/performing an unruly act and then blaming it on someone else, such as some poor, nerdy kid.
- quite random, but when he meets a new person, he likes entertaining them by making them think that he’s someone else than he really is, such as by taking on a humorous, posh english accent.
atleast 5 dislikes;
- people too smart for their own good.
- sluts and easy women; “girls who open their legs to anyone are disturbing, disgusting people who obviously don’t have a sense of moral and find themselves to be worthless.”
- being made fun of his clothing style.
- losers who think that they can join hullworth, along with tennyson, house, when they obviously can’t.
- drugs; he’s always disliked them.
history; Being born into utter wealth, his life was full of order and an attempt at perfection from the start. His father, who had inherited the wealth from previous generations, and his mother, who had simply been your average waitress at the local café before she was married, were overjoyed when Nikolai was born, showering him with gifts and anything that they considered to be a necessity. At first, he didn’t seem like much, only a simple little baby that let out the occasional cry or scream, these all being expected from a baby. However, as he grew and matured and went into kindergarten, problems began to arise; his parents were constantly being contacted to be told of his “unacceptable behavior” and ruthless acts of stealing a child’s lunch or toy. Totally shocked to hear this about their precious boy, a boy that had never caused any amount of trouble at home, they immediately took him out of school and hired a nanny, one that was equipped to handle and teach a child his age.
History was repeating itself. The nanny, explaining the same type of situation that had occurred at school, was quitting due to Nikolai’s “extreme anger” and spontaneous temper tantrums that resulted when he didn’t receive what he wanted, even if it was something as simple as having to wait a measly thirty seconds for something as opposed to getting it right away. His parents, once again showing utter disbelief, shook their heads in annoyance at how rude and idiotic all of these nannies and teachers were. They certainly didn’t see their little angel doing anything wrong; to them, he was the perfect child, for he never cried, complained, or went against their wishes. Or atleast, he acted that way around them. In reality, Nikolai was exactly what the nanny and the countless other nannies that followed had described-a bitter, spoiled little brat that was in need of some serious punishment. Nikolai, on the other hand, managed to hide from punishment for a good deal of time before requesting himself to return to school. Homeschooling was beginning to become quite a bore, and going to an expensive private school would look much better on his college application.
After going to a private school for a decent amount of time without getting into serious trouble, everything obviously had to fall downhill at some point. Him, along with various other boys, were caught bullying a younger child, this being taken quite seriously, especially when the boy and multiple other students admitted how Nikolai wasn’t in fact the perfect image that was in everyone’s eyes. After that incident, Nikolai was kept on close watch at both home and school and received various punishments as well. However, this was only intermediate school, and he had a long way ahead of him before developing into his current self.
From that point on, Nikolai discovered that he enjoyed the feeling of attention and popularity that arose from getting in trouble at school; although the students had spoken the horrible truth about him, it resulted in the whole school knowing his name, his ego rising to a new found high that would only grow even more with every action geared for popularity that he accomplished.
Once he went into high school, his parents decided to move, picking Pavotworth as their newest location. With this new move meant a new school, and Nikolai definitely had his share of unsure thoughts about the school when he first arrived. However, time has passed on and once he entered his junior year, he had already established a decent enough reputation that was good enough for his liking, and he certainly planned on making an even bigger one this year.

She began to slightly blush when she noticed his reaction, the tower of guilt that she had felt earlier seeming to rise even taller. However, at the sight of his new found smile, Kennedy herself couldn't help but grin, beginning to forgive herself a bit as she told herself that he wasn't that mad at having an opened umbrella dropped on him. Once he spoke, that made her feel even better since now she knew that he wasn't injured in any way from the fall or the umbrella. "Yes, I saw today on the weather channel that-" she began to casually respond, her voice however stopping when she noticed how effortlessly he closed the umbrella. "Wait, how did you do that? See, I've been trying to close it all morning, and I just haven't been able to do it," she huffed, crossing her arms in a gloomy manner. Ahh wonderful, she had now admitted her imbecile action of not having the ability to properly close an umbrella, and in response, she once again wore a humiliated facade.
Before she could do anything more, she was soon caught by surprise and was being pulled upwards, no longer practically sitting on the ground. She gave him a smile and a nod as a way of thanks, afraid to open her mouth again since she had no idea what would come out of it. Once they were both standing, Kennedy's head slowly tilted to the right as he disappeared from her side, unsure as to what he was doing. However, her confusion quickly dispersed as she saw him clumsily reaching towards a cellphone. She figured that it was obviously his own phone, considering that he had been frantically patting his sides and pockets only seconds earlier, and she almost went over there herself to help him retrieve his phone. The mere sight of him awkwardly going toward it gave her a fear that he was going to tumble again. Fortunately, he picked it up in time and was soon back by her side, revealing that he was naturally clumsy. Personally, she found it a bit cute how the guy was virtually a nervous wreck that was a klutz as well, but maybe she just found some strange, personal enjoyment from seeing people embarrassed by the fact that they ran into almost everything in their path.
"Actually, I just moved here not too long ago, so sorry, I won't be much of a help to you. I myself don't really know where anything is in this place. If I did, I'd gladly help you get around but... I'm pretty clueless and stink with direction as it is," she replied with a shrug, watching as his fingers fumbled with his phone. His arm then extended out to her, and she instinctively grabbed it, locking her arm with his to where it reminded her of the scene in the Wizard of Oz where the three characters skipped down the yellow brick road.
"Looking for someone? Why's that?" she curiously inquired, face contorting into one of displeasure when she realized her last remark. "I mean, you don't have to tell me or anything." She now felt even more idiotic! She would now probably make him even more nervous with her personal and unnecessary comments, and she definitely didn't want to do that. "Hmm, that's not weird. I'm sure that you have a perfectly good reason for it, and it's not like you're some creepy guy or anything." This guy probably didn't have one creepy or weird thing about him, excluding his all around nervousness, and if Kennedy found him to be disturbing in any way, she wouldn't be linking arms with him at that moment. "Oh, of course you don't," she laughed, finding it funny how he was thinking that he should shut up when it was her who kept on throwing out idiotic comments. "I'm pretty sure that I should be first to shut up, not you. Anyway, what's your name?" she said while unknowingly tightening the squeeze she had on his arm, turning her head so that she now faced his. She was currently enjoying the idea of spending the day with a new friend, even if she barely knew this new "friend," and she could only hope that he wouldn't become too annoyed with her.
